I've been having a bit of a problem. WheneverI try to start Tob, It crashes to the desktop. But sometimes it does work, then I get random Blue Screen of Death with the following message ; Fatal Error OE at 0028 : FF08CEE3. Help!

I recommend to recover your savegames from the rubble of your BG-2 and to do a reinstall then. This doesn't sound like a bug to me but like a messed up game installation instead.
Not too painful, just some 30 min of disc-jockeying ....

I did as you said, and I transfered the chr files and the save games, and I have another problem. I can only select the characters that were selected when I saved, and the screen simply follows the chr. How do i solve this?

Now I have another problem. Now I get the exact blue screen of death with the exact same numbers. Help!

I don't know if this has anything to do with your computer crashing, but when I first installed TOB, I couldn't get it to work at all, and it kept crashing my whole computer every time I tried to start it up (and I got a similar message and 'blue screen of death'), so I called the help line, and they said it was a problem with our DVD drive (it has that stupid new anti-piracy stuff on, so even though I actually bought the CD, it couldn't read the thing!!!) They said I needed to update some drivers, but I couldn't figure out how to fix it, and spent a whole frustrating day getting angrier and angrier until finally my boyfriend said 'why don't you try it in the cd drive?' Luckily, our CD drive is older than the DVD drive, so it could read the CD and the problem was solved! I know the new anti piracy stuff is to stop people copying CDs, so I don't know why it affected this game, but it's never crashed since I started using the CD drive! Maybe it is something similar? Maybe not, but I hope this helps!

Sorry, should have added that they guy on the help desk said you can install TOB just fine, and change the settings etc etc, it only checks for pirated copies when you try to start up the game, which is why it crashes at this point.
