[IMG] I'm having problems beating the greater doppelgangers in Durlag's Tower (the ones that use acid and stuff). Any advice on how to beat them (I can beat them but I lose about 3 guys)? My chars are: me (mage), Minsc, Jaheira, Khalid, Dynaheir, Imoen.
I've heard some rumors that there's 6th level spells in Baldur's gate, anyone know anything about that (not that I beleive it)?

Get the bastard sword +1. +3 vs. shapeshifters. It's on Aldeth in Cloakwood map 1 (he asks you to protect him against druids).

Otherwise dopples aren't much of a problem. They aren't super-resistant to anything, so all of your spells and weapons should do. Just have plenty of both and you'll be fine.
Cast a lot of protections on yourself as well.

[IMG] Here what you do run out of the room and there should be only 2 of the #$$&*($ after you and you can hack them to bits and wait for the cloudkill spell to end and go hack the last one to bit this is best done with a fighter.

There's another similar anti-doppleganger bastard sword in Ulgoth's Beard. It can be found in the house north of where you appear when you first enter Ulgoth's Beard.
