No problems with the stats. 15str, 17 wis and 17 cha is required (if I remember correctly) as well as true neutral alignment. And since I dualled at level 3 I know that my stats were enough... I think I went with 18/23 str, 18 dex, 10 con, 9 int, 18 wis and 17 cha. I started with ** in large swords and missile weapons and then put the next * in large swords before dualing.

Ok, I have just finished defeated Yxonomei and returned from Dragons Eye. I must say that I'm really impressed with the druid - something I really didn't count on. The spell selection is great and he combines well with both clerics and mages. Last time I played I remembered that hordes of Yuan-Ti, Cold Wights and other things were a huge problem. But Web + Stinking Cloud + Spike growth works really well.

Right now I have the following party:
    Bard lvl 7
    Fighter lvl 7
    Fighter lvl 7
    Fighter lvl 3/Druid lvl 9
    Fighter lvl 3/Cleric lvl 7
    Thief lvl 7/Illusionist lvl 6

So far I have been very cheap with my money - can't really say that I know what to buy. Other than scrolls and some healing potions there hasn't been much that I want to spend money on. And since all good equipment costs a fortune I haven't bought anything, since I don't want to be in a situation where I really need money. Oh well, it's rather fun not knowing what is the best equipment and where to find it. Off to the Severed Hand!

Hi, I'm a long time lurker and first time poster here, and I'd like to point out something that some people might not be aware of:

In the official AD&D rules, Druids are only allowed to wear "natural" armor -- in other words, armor made from *natural materials* -- which does not necessarily restrict them to just leather armors. And Icewind Dale honors this rule by allowing Druids to equip Black Dragon Scale and Orrick's Rhino Beetle Shield which, combined, provide them with great defense and survivability. Add to that a much better spells table than the Druid class in BG (with a LOT of unique spells that Clerics don't have access to), Immunity to Poison, Timeless Body and the ability to shapeshift into various Elementals at higher levels, and I don't see why you shouldn't bring a Druid on your travels through the frozen north! :)
