I just beat the game so now I consider myself worthy of the toolset.....

I'm working on a basic little mod to get started, however I cant seem to make my conversations work.

I'm fairly sure that I have it entered like I want, but when i playtest the mod the character just stands there. He'll spin toward the PC when you click on him and thats it. Any suggestions?

Also how do you make a NPC not attack? I picked a house guard that I was going to use, but at startup he rushes the PC's and starts hackin....

    Thats enough for one post!

    thx!

Did you assign your dialogue to the character? IIRC it's way down on the first tab (Basic tab or something).

The reason that the house guard attacks is that the faction is set to hostile. You need to change that if you don't want him to attack.

Open up the sp game in the toolset. Look at how the Bioboffins did it. Clone, adapt, freewheel - hey look, you're flying! It worked for me.

Erran, I was never able to open up the SP game into the toolset. But, I probably just need to move a few files, or did Bioware actually compile it?

When you open the SP modules you'll need to open them as 'read only' and then save them as something else. Alternatively, you could just make a copy beforehand and save it with a different name.

Gnolyn, I mean that I never get the option to open them. As read-only or anything else. I'm guessing I might have to move the files to another folder.

Ignore the open dialogue when you start the toolkit. Choose instead File->Open from the menu. In this window you should be able to click on "Campaign Modules". Do that and you should see the chapters you have completed.

Sorry Rastor, I should have been more specific ;) But Zorac's info should put you on the right track!
