Again, my favorite spot for all old school gaming comes through. Hanged out with a friend today, and we got tired of Mario, so we went to the said place, in search of lost treasures. And indeed, lost treasures we found, as I had the pleasure to see a Master System in a display window. It has some wear and tear, but otherwise looks fine. The system came with two controllers, AC adapter, box switch, and two games.

I am thrilled to add the Master System to my collection, and I am looking forward to adding timeless classics such as Columns and Phantasy Star to my collection.

The first game I got is a "MegaCartridge", containing two games, Hang On and Safari Hunt. Since I do not own the light gun, I can't comment on this game. Hang On is a motorcycle racing game, fast-paced and surprisingly challenging. It's a hell of a lot of fun, too. The other game I got is Alex Kidd in Miracle World... I played for 30 seconds before switching to Hang On.

Here are a couple of pics... quality is bad, I know... all I got to take pictures is a crappy webcam.

The Hang On/Safari Hunt Megacartridge. Nothing special.

The front of the Master System. Controller ports are identical to those on the Sega Genesis, and the slot on the right is for Master System games that happened to be on a card, just like Turbografx games.

Cartridge slot, reset button, pause button. Why couldn't it be on the freaking controller?

    The name says it all.

Overall, I am pleased to add the Master System to my collection. With the proper games, the Master System is going to be a hell of a lot of fun. I loved the Genesis, and the Master System has some great exclusive titles as well.
