[IMG] Does anybody know how the capacity on containers is figured out? It seems that each chest is different than the last and it's really irratating when I'm trying to stow my loot in Ald' Ruhn's mages guild.

My impression is that different items take up more or less space. Larger weapons seem to take up a lot of space. However I could be wrong. I have not made a bean study of it. Maybe there is just an inconsistency here.

I think it's all about weight capacity. Each item has a certain weight, and each container has a certain weight limit it can take which usually is pretty small unfortunately.

My advice is to download a nice housemod. There are more than enough instant houses you can download with more than enough storage space which are even labeled with how much weight they can carry.

I have to admit that I never thought of weight. I was thinking that it might be total networth. However the weight limit makes alot more sense.

    Thanks

I filled up most of the containers in the Balmora Council Club in one game, but I like having my own personal library, a stach of armourer equipment to repair my stuff, a supply of weapons that I can't move outside of Mournhold...

I ended up littering the floor with more stuff...

Weight limits can vary too, but generally only with type of container. Small (book-size) chests usually hold around 25, larger chests and crates generally 200, urns around 100, and closets and drawers typically hold around 300.
