I started up a game of Baldur's Gate EE about 2 weeks ago and right now I cant find a way to get to the bandit Camp. I explored Peldvale and I can't go east from there, north only takes me to the Ankheg farm south of Baldurs Gate...Larswood : from there I can go south to the Basilisks lair and east to the the house with 2 trees (on the area map) where the wizards meet. If I go there..I can't go north or east and south goes to Durlags tower. I played this game and won it when it first came out...(I preordered) it took me a few years. Since I got the EE I haven't beaten but I got to the bandit camp every time...I can't get there now though...(I picked the wrong dialogue with Elminster in Beregost). Could someone point out how to get there? Thanks...

Nevermind...I think its because I didn't fight Tranzig yet in Beregost. I'll do that today. Thank you.

Yeah, you need to talk to Tranzig first to progress the storyline. You're welcome. :p

Isn't there a bandit encounter in the area south of the bandit camp that can show you the way to the bandit camp as well?

There's Raiken in Peldvale and Teven in Larswood, but I'm not sure if they spawn prior to talking with Tranzig. If they do and if he's killed both of them (which can easily be the case), he's gonna have to talk to Tranzig to get the location.

If I remember right..saying you surrender and want to join the BlackTalons and Chill and Raiken takes you to the camp to meet Tazok and you can spar with him (Tazok) and if you win (you wont kill him) he'll leave to go to Baldurs Gate leaving you at the camp..

I think you can pretend you're a bandit as well, and that bandit just south of the bandit camp will point you the way, or you can infer it somehow from something he says, or drops. I'm not sure, but I know I've gotten the location from the camp from there, without being taken to the camp directly. But he's probably not there before you talk to Tanzig.

Actually, I've checked the scripts and both of the unique bandit groups should spawn as soon as you hit chapter 3, and they disappear again once you've cleared out the bandit camp, so a visit to Tranzig should potentially be optional.

Actually you can kill Tazok as you can keep attacking him after he calls off the fight and the camp does not go hostile (guess they really do not care for the guy!) and even if they did it would still be worth it. You do not get a lot of time to finish him but it can be done. It is a good way to get an additional pair of gauntlets.
