Can't get into Bandoth's Tower

    I'm playing IcewindDale complete, and I cant get into the far right entrance, Bandoths Tower to get his quest. When I try to go south from where the ledge between the entrance and where my party is, my characters just jut back and forth and stutter in their movements. I try to go south from where the ledge between the group and the entrance is, but that is the entrance to Dorns Deep level 1. Am I missing a (secret??) passageway or do I have to explore more of the map? (Basically the whole map is explored unless I missed something). Thank you.

    I remember having this same problem when I first got icewinddale when it first came out. I couldn't get into the entrance because of the ledge. I click the mouse on the entranceway and my party just stops at the (ledge?). I'm talking about the upper level of Dorns deep (chapter 4).

    IIRC, you need to have your party traverse west to east across the very top of the map. Given the low lighting, it was easy to miss the pathway. Once they go across, it should be a straight shot to the tower door. I suppose your map could be broken, but once I found the path, I never had a problem getting there.

    You have to go back to the entrance, where you came in. There you will see a small path leading east to the tower ...
