I just defeated irenicus for the second time, down to hell... and after browsing about for a bit I try to rest, which won't work. Ah, the good old combat mode bug. This has happened before: the game thinks that I'm still in combat, so it won't allow me to rest or save the game. I've been attempting to complete the place without resting, but the sarevok fight got a few of my characters badly bruised.... It's just so typical that I get that silly bug on one of the most important battles in the game. Can you edit anything throguh the console or something to get out of it (autosave still works, so I have the game), or will I have to kill irenicus all over again? He was quite tricky for my party, since you can't really have anyone in the party die in that battle (you lose all equipment, even though you get resurrected when entering hell).

Idoru, I don't really understand what happens there in your game.

Aren't you able to rest before you open the Tear Door?
And what's that equipment disappearing? That never occured to me.

Explain the problem some more, please.

This exact same thing happened on my game. What I did was have the game autosave, and then quit. After loading the autosave, I could save and rest again.

Neither do I Extremist, it has been very buggy ever since later chapter 5... Bodhi not appearing sort of triggered a lot of problems. This one was around before though.

Basically, what happens is, I fight someone or something, doesn't matter what. After that I try to rest or save, and the game won't allow it, "cannot save game during combat". Even if I travel the game still thinks I'm in combat. It has happened once in a while for quite some time, though I don't think it was around in the beginnign of the game - first appeared around chapt. 4 methinks.

I'll try loading my autosaved game, I sort of forgot about that option.. ahem.

Oh and the cup appeared when I killed the black dragon again. No biggie.

    ---------------

Oooops, just tried reloading, it works! Thanks wildfire... I feel stupid now! Sorry about taking up space, I should've thought of that... now, back to the game, it's just getting exciting! :))
