I'm pretty sure you can (export the NWN character and select him at SoU character creation), but since SoU is meant to be started with a level 1 character, that would be rather pointless... The NWN expansions aren't really meant as continuations of the story begun in the original NWN. Even between SoU and HotU there's a level gap, though if you import a SoU character into HotU it gets levelled up and it makes a bit more sense to use the same character in SoU as in HotU.

I imported an OC character into SoU, and don't think it's a good idea. It makes SoU waaaaay too easy. Besides the SoU story makes it pretty obvious that the main PC is not the same one as in the OC. The HotU PC is meant to be the same as the SoU one - some of the narration early in HotU is meant to bridge the gap between the two expansions. It doesn't really matter either way though, any and all options are playable.

[IMG] When I ran through SOU, I did the same thing (imported my OC character, thinking that SOU and HotU were both continuations). By the time I figured it out, I was far enough along that I didn't want to restart. And I played a Ranger(1) Rogue(x), so although I had plenty of hit points, combat was never super-easy (undead are always tough, and I especially remember the dragon really making me run around using a lot of arrows, potions, and scrolls)... But I also become curious, because SOU made opportunities to use the Ranger's Tracking and Animal Empathy, and there were plenty of Bluff, Intimidate, and Persuade options... There were similar nuances in HotU... So I played all the way through all three with the same character...
