[IMG] I am having a problem with BG2 crashing when I attempt to board the ship to Brynnlaw. I have installed the Tortured Souls mod and followed the directions as to install things in a certain order, ie Update 26498, etc. I went and looked at where I saved the file and it appeared to be possibly an outdated file, the file name was tsv501

I have looked around and have found possible updated versions. Anyone know what the problem is with it crashing?

Not sure about the mod. Crashing at a particular area or movie is often the sign of a corrupted file. Did you perform a full install of the vanilla game before modding?

I am pretty sure I did the full install, I guess I could uninstall everything and reinstall to see if that fixes the problem. Will see if it works tonight after work.

Before you do all that (if it's not too late) try an older save if you have one.

If you do a full install and the install hangs, that's probably your corrupted file. If the full install goes off fine and you still have the problem, you may have a mod compatibility issue. Uninstall from the control panel, back up your saves, and delete your over ride folder (in case the bad file is in there). Reinstall your patches and mods. Good Luck

Uninstalled everything, followed the directions to a T and I did load one of the saved games but it still crashed. So I am playing from the beginning with a new character hoping it won't crash when I get back to the ship to Brynnlaw.

Not sure about the mod compatibility issue as I followed the directions that came with the mod and Tortured Souls is the only mod I have installed.
