BG2 Fixpack Beta Released at G3

    The first beta of the BG2 Fixpack has been released! The BG2 Fixpack is a WeiDU compilation of fixes for Baldur's Gate II. With the disappearance of Kevin Dorner and the cessation of activity of the Baldurdash fixpack for BG2, several modders and myself began working on a new WeiDU fixpack to address the numerous bugs that have been identified since Baldurdash. This collaborative effort, including the work of modders from several different modding communities, has resulted in a fixpack that currently includes all of the fixes addressed by Baldurdash (including the Game Text Update) and several hundred new bugfixes. The project is ongoing, and we're working through a substantial list of bugs culled from various sites, the old Baldurdash forums, and our own research.

    As a beta release, please note that this Fixpack has already undergone seven previous alpha releases and testing, both with and without other mods. While we do anticipate some minor issues (especially with mod interoperability) we do expect that it will be stable for the most part. The beta label also reflects that while the fix list is well into the hundreds, the pending fix list is also quite substantial.

    [​IMG] In the future, please post notices of mods (or fixes in this case) that also cover ToB in the ToB forum only. As you know, our ToB forum also encompasses all of SoA. There have already been and will still be plenty of opportunities for you to promote your fix pack in various threads here, and I'll make sure it's listed on SP as well, so there's no need to duplicate notices about it across both the SoA and the ToB forum. Thank you.

    I think the reason he put it there seeing as how it does pertain to both SoA + ToB AND SoA only was so the SoA only people see that it's out. I think I might have just said the same thing he did though.

    Yes, and those 3 people will likely see the notice in this forum, or on SP, or in one of the replies by CamDawg & Co. Not that it makes much difference anyway, but we prefer not to duplicate any content across multiple forums unless it's really necessary.
