I was wondering if you get better loot from foes/chests, etc. if you play the game on Very Difficult. I know it was like that in HoF mode for IWD2, but what about Neverwinter Nights. Thanks.

It depends on what mod you are playing.

Not entirely positive; but I think that loot is determined by your ECL. In which case, the difficulty doesn't really matter; except that you'll be leveling up faster...so in a sense, you could say that the looting is better (but only because you get higher in level, faster...iirc)

    'which mod?'

Just in the plain ol' campaign.

The loot in the OC seems to be based on the class of your character. I don't think that difficulty matters, but it might in SoU or HotU.

Treasure in the first OC is both class-based and level-based. (Note that using a prestige class in the first OC may cause the treasure function to barf and result in giving you *no* treasure)

Treasure in SOU was completely randomized and not influenced by either class or level.

Not sure how treasure in HoTU was done. They used a completely proprietary system, not available for normal players to use unless you want to cut it out of the module files. My guess is that it was less like SOU and more like the OC.

In neither of the campaigns does difficulty level impact the treasure drops.
