    [​IMG] You have a dream where the Valsharess approaches you and tries to turn you to her cause. You can also request an immediate reward.

    I was thinking of just playing along, collecting the reward from the Valsharess and then betraying her by not letting her past the defenses. But then I read the description on the "immediate reward", which was a very good wizardly robe in my case. The description mentioned that the Drow like giving out such robes to their helpers because they become cursed (or something like that) if the Drow's confidence is betrayed.

    Now I'm wondering, if you don't open the doors for the Valsharess, does your reward actually become cursed? Has anyone tried this?

    It's a pretty clever catch and something next to unseen in the NWN games if it does work like that.

    Nope, haven't tried it, but I'll check it out, I still have a saved game from just before the cut scene you talk about.

    Would be a nice catch indeed...

    If you betray the Valsharess, then the robe loses all its properties. However, there's no reason why should betray her, really - just keep the robe and enjoy the fruit of your betrayal :)

    probably, its been a while, last time i didn't turn on them. but a little spoiler, after the battle you dont have anything to do with the rebels, so it has no real effect

    If you do open the doors for her, what happens to your alignment? And - do you still get to keep your henchmen? They are pretty dedicated to the rebels after all, aren't they? Will they turn on you or what?

    Have one of your henchmen equip it if you use them. That robe is usable by anyone. This will get around the losing of special properties if you decide to not help the Valsharess.

    On the other hand, you won't be able to use it for the chapter 2 end battle and can only get it back in Chapter 3.

    Hmm... well, I don't really need the robe, I'm more curious about how it all plays out and don't want to do a bunch of reloads to try all the possibilities. ;) Thanks for the info.

    I need Valen - he is a veritable powerhouse and complements my wizard very well - and I don't want to lose him.

    He has talked so much about how he won't allow anybody to hurt his precious Seer, so I'm afraid he will leave me if I betray them.

    Will he leave or attack? Or will he follow me no matter what I do?
