I created an Avenger Druid (nice class), but might have found a scripting problem. I used the Druid aggressive, which is 'sposed to cast offensive magic. However, I use Chromatic Orbs as the 1st level spell, and the script never uses these. Is that a bug?

Also, I found that I can cast the mage spells that an Avenger has, in the city, without a license, and no Cowled Wizards show up! :D

Don't think it's a bug really...they're mage spells but you're casting them from from your priest scroll. This probably applies to the Stalker's mage spells as well.

On a wider point, how good are the spellcasting scripts? I've always kept clear of using them, for fear that they'll use a different spell from the one I wanted in a given situation, or that they'll use spells when I wanted to save them for later.

Maldir ... sometimes they cast bad spells. I can never have my mages memorize cone of cold, for example, because on Wizard Aggressive Edwin would charge and fire it into the enemies front ranks ... right where my tanks were!

Being the lazy sort, I keep away from low-level area effect spells. Fortunately the higher level ones (like the Horrible Wilting) do not harm the party. Keeping that in mind, the scripts are fun and allow more coffee consumption while playing! :coffee:
