I was promised (sort of) answers to Arcanum here :)
In the university (if I remember correct) in Tarant a guy sells books. All sorts of books. I bought tech book or something.. but.. how do I use it? Or is it any good at all?

Another one: Tarant sewers. I killed everything I could find from there. I thought the guy saying that there's creatures in there would reward me, but no. How do I finish that quest or is it not a quest?

More more: Two clans in the boil. I joined the one on the right. And job to kill the boss on the left side of the boil. This orcish fellow.. well.. I killed his 2 guards from front door, but can't open the door to get in :( Door says "unlocked" and I tried pickpocket on it, but no.. can't open the door. A bug?

    That's it for now. :)

    1) These books raise your knowledge for the specific tech discipline. This is handy for cross-discipline found schematics. For example to make bullets, you need charcoal and saltwater (This is all entirely from my memory,so don't quote me on this). But, you also need to be a certain level in a tch discipline. For this one in particular, you need I think it is 5 in bombs. If you haven't put any points in bombs, then you can buy a book, and as long as it is in your inventory, you should get a certain amount of aptitude in that discipline. Sorry if my explaation is a little unclear, it is late just now.

    2) Are you sure you are in the correct part of the sewers? There is the normal sewers which are accesed from the sewer gratings in the streets, and then there is the old sewers, which are mainly blocked off, except for 3 or so places.

    3) Sounds like a bug to me.

    1) Wildfire explained that very detailed.

    2) What reward? As Wildfire said there are two parts of sewers:
    - easy part is accesed from eastern part (watch for round shaped "entrances" on the street)
    - hard part is accessed from the point south from wise granny that identifies items (narrow pathway to a cabin)

    3) No bug. The door would be opened if you joined that gang. Otherwise, noone will unlock them for you.
Since you're not gang member, there are two ways of reaching inside:
    - ATTACK the door (combat mode, ALT+click).
    - using the hard part of sewers.
Hard part can be accessed as I said abouve, or by another shaft in second gang base (but you have to join them or kill them to use that one)
