Well, the last part of Aoskar began to turn into a series of one ups. Perhaps my point was lost, but the fact is not just in the Planescape setting but also in real life we wont always know what the real truth of the matter is.

Taking your respective stances, making them known and then locking the topics really doesn't solve anything. Why act so stubborn? Why be too sure in your own opinions?

Just to illustrate that there are two sides to everything, the first time I played PST I too thought the pollution came to the foundry. Strangely, after a long hiatus in which I forgot all about it and started playing again, a little more thoroughly this time I found the other connection to the pollution: the portals from the lower planes.

This time I attached more significance to the portals as a factor than the foundry. Strange but I don't really know why. Perhaps because of inclination to believe mortals have less influence than they really do.

I was really disappointed in the way the both of you argued, giving point and counter-point just in order to promote your own truth - when there probably isn't any - and to make the other fellow look dumb. Come on now. How much certainty is there in life? Is it worth to let ego work you up?

Be I merely a lowly forum user, I think both Extremist and Tal have an attitude problem. I think that if you don't look at yourself situations like this will merely persist and no matter how many topics you lock the same thing will continue to happen.

[IMG] Well since I'm the authority here whether you like it or not your comment about me having an attitude problem is really irrelevant. Both of us have made valid posts (I'll still argue mine were more valid, mind). But I don't know where you see any ego trips here. I just respond to topics I find interesting, nothing more. I don't have any hidden agendas. I run the place, I dont't need anything else. And frankly, I can't remember the last time I've had this sort of Prove Me Wrong competition here on the boards except for the latest one with Extremist (oh yeah, count in GONMAR too if you want, but he was 100% wrong in what he was saying). Call it bad karma or whatever.

And I locked the Aoskar topic because we were obviously getting nowhere with it. He claims his story is right, I claim mine is right. 20 or 200 topics more would make no difference. If you can't see that, well, too bad. He obviously did in the end.
Also, when I lock topics I mean them to STAY locked, not that new ones be created in their wake. Ok?

I'll let you respond to this one since you started it, but it will be locked after you do.

Umm.... some thoughts from a lowly Xvart
    1) someone said the two were connected. makes sense to build a big polluting factory somewhere where there's something else to blame the pollution on.
    2) Regarding the temple in the alley of dangerous angles ... maybe...maybe...conspiracy theory time...Ignus' madness was from the lady of pain to make him burn down the temple.

Sorry for taking so long to respond. Thanks for responding to this thread Tal. Perhaps you were right in locking it, after all who would touch the thread after the bickering?

Anyway in the interests of a speedy resolution you may close the thread now.
