Anyone Here into Second Life?

    [​IMG] So I'm hanging out with a friend of mine recently and he starts talking about a multiplayer "game" called Second Life. Weird thing is he's not into games at all, like none, but he's gotten a little hooked on this one. Weirder still is, I had never heard of it, and i like to think I know what games are going on even if I don't play them all. Anyway, I looked at the site and its interesting. I'm thinking of doing a trial or something. Just wondering if anyone here is in there and what they think. I did a search and didn't find any threads.     Second Life is one of the 'net phenomenons, like Everquest... so if you haven't heard about it, you're not quite up to speed in this respect. ;)

    And if someone not into games gets hooked on something like Second Life (same as Everquest, WoW, etc.), it's a pretty safe bet that you're not going to be seeing them around much any more. For months, or years, depending on how bad the addiction is...

    Second Life is a scary concept. I can understand MMOs like Everquest and World of Warcraft since they place the player in a definate 'fantasy' setting however Second Life is intended to be as real as possible.

    I dare say it is something I would never wish to try, my own life is exciting enough.
