Once again I have a problem with my graphics card.

This time, however, I can actually play the game for a while without any problems. After about 15 to 30 minutes, however, a random selection of characters, in game buttons, and text begin flashing in and out of existance at a fast rate, then the game crashes after about ten seconds, and an error message reading

"An assertion failed in ChVideo.cpp in line number 3223"

Anyone have any clue as to what is going on? Ive tried tampering with resolution, settings, Ive installed the latest drivers for my graphics card. I even tried locating the file and its supposed assertion failure of line 3223, but the file doesn't exist on my computer, or on the game disc.

Please, any help or suggestions would be helpful.

    Thanks.

Why bother getting the card when you know it'll cause problems? I just don't get it.

    How can you know that?
The problems were addressed after the game was released because neither Bioware nor BIS used ATI cards on development machines.
The point is not on not to buy the cards, but on pressure you have to use on the manufacturer to fix the issues.
