...to be thinking about getting started making mods...for NWN (not NWN2, the original)?

I mean, this game is like 8 years old, but I just got it a few months back and (thanks to the wide variety of mods out there) I think NWN is incredible.

Sure, NWN2 is out, but I can't say that I'm that excited about it. Maybe I'd have to play it, but something about the look of it bothers me.

I feel like I'm the only one playing NWN right now...it's too new to be retro or classic (like BG), but it's still very, very old...

while the game is only 5 years old not 8 its still old in the game world and a lot of the player base has moved on to nwn2, which imho isn't bad at all.

as for mod making, I don’t think its to late, there are still a fair amount of people who play and make mods for nwn, but there numbers are dwindling, so don’t expect the "crowds" some of the mods got before nwn2

Remember there are always people like me who play nwn because they don't have a machine strong enough to play nwn2.

What kind of mod did you have in mind? So that I know whether I'm prepared to test it. ;)

I have a few ideas I'm thinking about. I like class-specific mods where you get to really see what a class can do.

I'm thinking of doing a Cleric RP mod, since I haven't seen many just for Clerics (other than "turn lots of Undead" mods.

I'm not worried about not getting flocks of people to check out my stuff...it's more just for the thrill of doing it...and hopefully getting a few kind words.

I myself am looking at putting together a mod for NWN, although I'd be surprised if I actually finish it lol...I'm aiming for something a bit different to the usual D&D, something a bit more towards the realistic side of things.

Hoping to get it done...got lots of things I'd love to put in, but to be honest it might turn out a little ambitious :/
