Add on to my chains, please?
    Add on to my chains?
    You have the power,
    the potency,
    the mighty irrevocable
    grandeur of sovereignty.

So I bow to you, please?
    Please may I bow?
    May I kiss your boots,
    or shine your shoes,
    and in return,
    your orders unrefused?

    Understand me, I plea?
    May I plea to you?
    I try for myself,
    for me,
    for what I wish,
but I ever succeed for you.

    Just human, they say?
Is it human that you wish?
    You have the chain,
    Offer the dignity,
    the mighty chain,
    the gratitude and malignity.

Add on to my chains, please?
    Add on to my chains?
    You hold a mirror,
    reflect the labor
    My spitted words
    spill out in your favor.

I try for myself, do I?
    May I try for myself?
    You try now then,
    reflect a youth
    clone magnanimous
    reflect my truth

It means that some omnipotent powers choose to richen themselves off of my demise, and then parry and defend with consequences against me when I am not meager and unoppresive. Basically "Add on to my chains" means "Restrict my life more to thicken to your own wealth". And I am begging these great powers to do so because they have the grandeur of sovereignty, thus the power of destruction if I do not beg. Absolute spitting evil. Sorry, can't tell you what these big powers are, but I assure you that you've experienced, or are experiencing, their presence already! :holy:

By the way, Gopher, don't worry about it - poems don't get old, they just get used...

[IMG] This is great! I've never read any poetry on the boards (and only when I had to away from them) but this is just excellent. I just wish my stupid english teacher would let us use poems from the net for our assignment. So far I've read a whopping 0 good ones in those stupid books that he's given us. Anyway, I think I'll stop ranting and raving now.
