    So, the zombie apocalypse finally happens and zombies are walking the streets, a group meanders its way down to some docks and one of them falls off the pier...

    Does it sink or does it float?

    Depends on zombie type and whether we're talking about freshwater or saltwater. Muscular, recently fed and recently dead zombies would probably sink, others would probably float.

    Those were skeletons ... for the most part. Zombies bloat a little in water ... didn't you play Heart of Winter? Those drowned dead could raise a sunken ship.

    Depends on the amount of gas in the body, to name one thing. Some bacteria cause such gasses. If the water is too cold for those bacteria, there won't be much gas.

    Ask someone from Varanasi, India. The Ganges is full of dead bodies and some people pick them out of the water. I just watched a vid on YT and immediately thought of 2 quotes from House of the Dead - Overkill: 1) All those of a nervous disposition should look away now. 2) This is not for the squeamish and easily offended.
    Yuck. Shooting my way to Goregasm in a zombie game is much easier than watching real rotting corpses.

    ...upon not only how LONG have they been a zombie (bloated corpse = more likely to float...) but also HOW did they BECOME one (lots of holes = less likely to float)...
