[Soundset] Assorted Warcraft soundsets 2015-09-17

Assorted Warcraft soundsets

  1. henkie
Never noticed this forum before, was it added recently?

Anyway, I created some soundsets for BG2 based on the character sounds in Warcraft 3 a long time ago. Not exactly novel, I know, but I found most other warcraft based soundsets here on sorcerers either incomplete or not fitting with the game very well. Orcs are very funny, for instance, but I don't want my half-orc character to go Zug-Zug or something.

I've been meaning to upload these for a long time as well, but somehow felt the procedure for getting files up on SP was too much of a barrier. [Read: I was lazy].

    Descriptions for the soundsets:
    1. I wanted an archer soundset because I liked the voice and it fit well with the archer character that I wanted to make as well. So I took the Archer from Warcraft 3 as basis, then used a few sounds from the Hippogriph Rider, the Sorceress, the Hero Warden and Maiev as well. I suspect they're all voiced by the same person as they sound mostly the same.

Missing sounds: Spell disrupted, In city, Being hit, Inventory full and Daytime.

    2. The Muradin soundset is an easy base for any dwarven character, much more so than the base soundsets from BG2. This one is based on Muradin, the Hero Mountain King (which is basically the same as Muradin except for a few sounds) and the Rifleman. Again they're all (I suspect) voiced by the same person, or close enough that I can't tell the difference.

Missing sounds: Spell disrupted, In forest, In dungeon and Nighttime.

    3. I like the troll sounds in Warcraft 3 as well, plus there's quite a lot of different Trolls that all have very similar voices, so it's relatively easy to make a complete set. I didn't quite manage a complete one, but it's the most complete one in this set. It's based on Forest Troll, Ice Troll, Troll Batrider, Headhunter, Witch Doctor, Hero Shadowhunter and Rokhan. For some reason I tend to use it on R/C characters, don't know why.

Missing sounds: Day and Night time.

P.S. I can't seem to get the numbering right on this listing. Probably I'm getting the syntax wrong, but if any of you know how to get it right, I'd be happy to hear it.
