i think you can join teams that make mods
but you have to be good at PC stuff and making webpages and simple programs and all that stuff

Depends what you want to do.

Making items is very simple, and can be done with the tools available at TeamBG. IEEP (from there) also contains a store editor so you can make a store. However editing dialogues and more complicated things is beyond my knowledge, so the best thing to do would be check out the tutorials on ForgottenWars and post on their message boards.

It also depends on what you want to do.

If you're going to distribute your mods, don't bother with the TBG stuff (IEEP is still okay), get NI and WeiDU.

Dialogues are pretty easy with WeiDU. IDU is also pretty easy to use, but distributing mods made with IDU is really annoying.

I'd recommend getting DLTCEP if you want to do items and stores and stuff. It's a lot more complete than IEEP.

[IMG] @ Rastor - well, if that didn't convince him to avoid mod-making at all costs, nothing will! :D

    @ Rastor

Maybe I should start a new topic for this. But, where do you download DLTCEP? I have IEEP but it seems difficult to use. To put some weapons and shops in the game sounds like fun.

DLTCEP is a lot easier to use for items IMHO, though some people have had mixed results. I haven't tried it for anything else, though it can do just about anything seemingly. I just console my items in and SK my gold down at the moment :)

Hey, sorry about not replying right away it's been a week since I've touched a computer. I'm looking to make NPC and kit mods if you have any info on that I would like to know.

    Thanks

For NPCs and kits, WeiDU is the way to go. You'll probably need to create a few items and abilities as well; I prefer Near Infinity though different folks prefer different tools. FWP tutorial section is a good place to start for NPCs and for kits check out the examples and documentation that comes with WeiDU.

There are a lot of forums on both FWP and TeamBG dedicated to modding questions and tutorials.
