I exported my character like other people said, (Take the file of the exported character from BG1 and put it in the file Characters for BGII) and my character lost a level, (I was 10 in BG1, 9 in 2) and I don't know what to do. Anyone help please?

Come, man, would it be so difficult to have to level that one level back up? He's hardly ruined, in any sense of the word. Considering you can't legitly level to 10 in BG1, they merely changed it for the best.

Try importing your save instead of character file. It could help.

Actually, thieves, bards and druids can achieve level 10 in BG1, if you have installed TotSC.

Thing is, they did it so you begin with 89000 exp in BG2 since that was the most you could get in BG1. (Unless you have ToTSC or an exp cap remover)

But as said, your character is harldy ruined. There are plenty of experience to gain. Or just use CLUAConsole since you did get more than 89000 exp when you played BG1.

[IMG] Not to be a spoil sport, but I think you should be HAPPY to be lower level. The game is MORE FUN when it is a challenge. If the fights are too easy - and you win them all the first time.... the game is NOT as much fun!

I really think that the designers thought a lot about it and playtested it before they put it out...

If he went through TotSC, he could have 161,000 xp, as that has a higher cap than BG.

Yeah, but I like having my spells from BGI. I lost a few that don't matter, but I have to get some more later. I also wish I could use 2 rings of wizardry... I had two and can only use 1 now.

Theres a "hack" for that. Just install the part of weimers that says "Wear magical armors and rings". Didn´t know that you couldn´t have two rings of wizardry without it though...

And you´ll find enough spells to fill up your spellbook completly, so no need to worry.

You can. Having two rings of wizardry is possible without mods.
