[IMG] Whenever I download a good kit that I want to use. It always says "needs some Team BG Tools to work" or something like that. First of all, WHAT Team BG Tools are they talking about? I don't see any downloads tiltled "Some". Second of all, I don't even understand what most of the Team BG Tolls are supposed to do. It sounds too complicated for a simpleton like me to accomplish. But I'd really like some of these downloads! Especially the Bastard Sword 2 Hand mod thing, that sounds like it'd really improve the game.

Could someone perhaps maybe enlighten me on these issues and maybe make some english out of it?

And anybody know where I can get the Dungeon Be Gone mod?

I know there is a TeamBG VB6 pack that most of their tools use - it has a lot of shared components and should only need downloading once. This can be downloaded from here.

There is also a loas of editing tools available which you might find useful. Try the TEAMBG website for more info - www.teambg.com

[IMG] Um... I just checked the team bg site and I'm having a bit of trouble finding a download called VB6. I checked the Tools and Game Mods pages, and the Custom Files page doesn't work. I typed VB6 on the acronym search but they didn't give me a link or anything.

That Bastard Sword thing, I never got that to work so what bonus do you get for having it in 2 hands?

[IMG] I have to edit this reply because these boards apparently don't want ANYONE making more than one reply, a rule I find rather idiotic being that this topic will probably dissapear now because simply "editing" a reply most likely does not bring the topic to the top of the list.

THAT'S NOT WHAT THIS IS ABOUT THOUGH, SO LISTEN UP!!!

When I installed vb6, it asked me to replace a file, so I did, and it better not have messed anything up.

    ALSO

Whenever I make a fullhearted attempt to install some files, one of them being Valen, it says:

    ERROR: Sys_error<"dialog.tlk: Permission denied">

This is excrutiatingly annoying! After the installation, it still makes the readme pop up so it THINKS it worked, but when I try to get valen, the dialog box is empty, save for valen's portrait.
Again, Valen is NOT the only thing I've downloaded for BGII that's screwed me like this. I thought vb6 was supposed to FIX that.

Is there away to... GET permission from the stupid error file? This was NEVER stated in the readmes of the downloads. The error appeared before I got vb6 so the replacing of the file did nothing in accordance to that.

    ALSO

In order to get the Bastard Sword mod to work I need a teambg tool called either IEEP or IEES. But the teambg site is hell to me, so I'd appreciate it if someone could get me a link to whichever said tool is recommended.

  HELP ME

This is just a guess, but check the properties of your dialog.tlk file and see if it is read only. That would explain why you can't modify it.
