My party is all PC's with no druid. Can I still complete this quest without having a druid in my party? I really want that shield of harmony for dealing with Mind Flayers later on. Also, will the djinni quest be triggered if I cannot defeat Faldorn (since I have no druid)? Can I just force attack Faldorn and become the Hero of Trademeet? Please advise. -JB.

IIRC only a druid can contest Faldorn, and if you don't have one in your party that is what Cernd is for. He doesn't even have to be in your party when he does it, just escort him.

Then there's the evil solution of poisoning the grove, but I assume if you were in the postion for that you would have been approached with that solution in Trademeet.

If you are referring to the Dao djinni, you can go through with their quest anyway, just go speak with them. After you solve the quest, your merits will be aknowledged.

Just take Cernd along and drop him after he has defeated Faldorn...

Well I got the shield of harmony, but realized that it is the reward for getting rid of the genies, and not for killing Faldorn. I also picked up the efreeti bottle which I am looking forward to trying out. I guess I didn't remember these quests correctly the second time through.-JB.

There is also a patch that gives you ALL the strongholds, if you are into that kind of thing...

To beat Faldorn without a druid, just talk to Cernd in the grove (he`s about 2 screens to the right of the inner sanctum), and ask him to fight Faldorn for you; don`t ask him into your party though, simply ask for his help :)
