I created human dreadmaster NE and pumped up exp to gain level 5 with DaleKeeper. I can cast Animate Dead and it works fine. Maybe you use some old version that had some random an issue (?).

If you wield weapons with monk, you will get bad sprites and this in unfortunate side effect for having monk animation. It's known issue. In BG2, where the graphics have been first introduced, the monk has strong weapon restrictions to prevent this issue, but in IWD2 you can wield weapons with monk that cause bad sprites, though it does not affect gameplay and it's only graphical bug. I wouldn't multiclass monk to use any weapons anyways.

With the latest update, I fixed all the unidentified shop items to be identified, as some of them did have issues. This should not happen anymore. If you patch the game, then the new stories that you find, will not have the issue, but the ones that you already have encountered, won't be fixed until you start a new game.

Sorry I should be clear what I mean by Bam crashes; icewind Dale gets a fatal error and closes. The bad sprite issue seems to be the transition that normally happen when your majority classes changes to a different class type.

dalekeeper seems to solve the issue when I go in and manually change the sprite to the correct one.

    Bug report

Hi, I've downloaded the mod from Nexus, and encountered the following while installing. Could you pls provide some insight / help? I have some weapons' pack, widescreen, and LoS installed before-hand.

    ERROR: illegal 2-byte write ( ) offset 474 of 466-byte file 00SHLD85.ITM
ERROR: [00SHLD85.ITM] -> [override/00SHLD85.ITM] Patching Failed (COPY) (Failure("00SHLD85.ITM: write out of bounds"))
    Stopping installation because of error.

ERROR Installing [Apply general fixes (required)], rolling back to previous state

    Uninstalled 204 files for [IWD2-SPECIALEDITION/SETUP-IWD2-SPECIALEDITION.TP2] component 3.
ERROR: Failure("00SHLD85.ITM: write out of bounds")

    ---------------------------------------------------
EDIT: I uninstalled IWD2. Made a fresh, clean install after this, patched with 2.01 and it said the same error, except that there was no "00SHLD85.ITM":

    SET_STRING 41425 out of range 0 -- 41416
    Stopping installation because of error.

    Hi.

Can you post the preceding steps before installation of the mod?

It seems that there is version conflict, that is caused one or more of the following:
*) You haven't patched the game to the latest version.
*) You have installed other mods before this.
*) You require admin rights for installation

I recommend GOG version which works very well out of the box and only requires installation of widescreen mod, though that is not mandatory.

At first I had bunch of mods installed, so I uninstalled everything, deleted the rest manually and made a clean install the second time. So, event though I merely:

    - Installed the game from the CD.
    - Patched it to 2.01
    - Ran the SE install.

Very similar thing happened. Tried admin rights, too. Although, I have the patch from long time ago. I'll re-download from here to see what happens.

Please accept my apologies. The initial error was all mine. I thought that I must run the config.exe only AFTER the mod. And you specifically stated that it should be BEFORE. I'm installing again, and already, I am past the said section without any errors. As for the adventure pack—I never knew it existed. I may need to buy GoG version, after all, hh.
