Well I liked bg1 better the items were not rigged, there was a npc for every class and so on so what do you think it best?

In BG2, there was a NPC for every class. Except the barby, sorc and monk, but hey. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    fighter: Korgan, Mazzy
    ranger: Valygar, Minsc
    paladin: Keldorn
    cleric: Viconia, Aerie
    druid: Jaheira
    thief: Yoshimo
    mage: Imoen, Jan, Edwin
    bard: Haer'Dalis

BTW, I like SoA more because of the romances, quality of new mods coming out, kits, and better graphics. :)

[IMG] First of all i liked Bg1 better, for different reasons to yours. I liked the exploring new areas mostly, oh and of course the Xvarts!

    Now into my rant

How exactly do you mean 'rigged'? Would this be the same use of rigged that we were discussing in chat? (where you got yourself banned, again)
There you seemed to think that rigged meant the same as biased or a story-driven plotline (you seemed to think that the Nameless One's ability to come back from the dead was rigged. It isn't, it's meant to be like that). So please do explain?

How could you call that a rant?

BG1 had its charms, but the character interaction in BG2/ToB is great. :)

  7. BGII

BGI had as the above post says, the Charm, but there is only so much wandering around, "Oh look, I found a new area, lets see if there are any Xvarts to kill." But it lacks versitility, I mean, no kits, limited levels, and everything.

BGII on the other hand, has NPC interaction, kits, high levels(even higher with ToB installed), sure it has less areas, but you have more to do in those areas than you did in BGI.

But to each their own, so my arguements work simply for me, and may persuade others, but in noway are the ment to do so. Merely to prove why I like the second over the first.

What I mean by rigged that the items are too overpowerd than bg. In bg you had to use your mind your wits more than bg2 and the kits in bg2 are just plan dumb, and I mean its like they neva thought about making them right, its just like they slapped them down and the wiz slayer, Jesus!! they could of made him have the dispell magic than the plandin jit. It would of made more seence.

[IMG] I loved Bg for the bigger game, it had loads of area's. But i think that the party interaction gives a lot to BG2 and it does have a lot more options and arguably more fun area's. Oh, and i get to do a happy dance at the beginning when i find a certain dissected body :D:D:D:D:D.

BG2 definitely takes the cake in terms of character development / interactions - Minsc gets better and better and the romances are neat.

But I enjoyed building up my characters from mere level 1 in BG1, as opposed to being super-powerful in BG2. Also, I wasn't too hot on the way BG2 footnotes all the important locations on your map in BG2 before you even need to go there.

[IMG] I bought BG1 first, but soon afterwards I got BG2, and BG2 is definately my favourite, even though I don't think that there are as many NPC's, I totally agree Gopher, you just gotta love those party interactions. The romances are really cool, and it has a great story line, but then again so did BG1...:p

I missed the area-exploring thing a lot in bg2, but that was easily compensated by the romances and interactions with your companions, so I guess BG2 is my favourite.

(ah hell, all Black Isle games are great :D)
