Not sure how to set this up so that the character fights using the two weapon style. I have two marks in this style. I have put a weapon in each slot for my fighter, a mace and a flail. Now what do I do now? Remove the shield? Confused!

The shield should be ignored by the game when you have two weapons equipped in your active weapon setup. Check your AC as is and then remove the shield. It should not change while you have both weapons equipped.

Obviously there is a difference from the original version where the second weapon went in your shield slot.
Still, that sounds better since it means you can use the quick slots to switch to a bow or crossbow without unequipping the off-hand weapon.
Something I found most annoying in the IE games.

Is there any reason to keep the four human skulls that Jahiera has?

Does she start with those in her inventory in Irenicus' Dungeon, or did you pick them up somewhere?
If this is ToB, same question when you summon her.
If the latter, it might help jog my memory if you mention where you got them.
I'm drawing a blank for skulls in BG2, I recall getting a few in BG1 from skeletons and in IWD, but I don't recall skulls in BG2.

I am playing BGEE, not BG2. I picked them up somewhere.
And what is a hard save?

Ah, BG1. Well, I know that there was one dungeon where most of the skeletons dropped skulls when destroyed. There was one puzzle that needed one, but once you did that the skulls were useless, I don't think you could sell them without a mod that lets you sell anything (ease-of-use, succeeded by the G3 Tweaks Pack), and even then you only got 1gp.
I'd suggest looking at Dan Simpson's FAQ on GameFAQs as I want to say it was the Ulster School dungeon, but it's been a while since I played BG1.

Another issue. I am in AR4100 dealing with Laryssa and Brage. I have 6 members in my party, but when we are taken to the temple in Nashkel I lose one, Viconia. I have tried various approaches to Laryssa and Brage buts whenever we are taken to Nashkel, I lose Viconia. What is happening? Might it have something to do with her being evil and the party's high reputation, 18?

It might if your rep is 18 or over, but you usually get a dialog about her being disatisfied and leaving. She'll be very unhappy if your rep is over 16, and unhappy if it's over 10-12.

Where might I find her again if I remove her from the party? Or, perhaps I should kill an innocent to get our rep down? Or, should I just ignore Laryssa and Brage alltogether?

In BG1 original (5-cd) edition, you can ask them to remain where they are or return to the last Inn you stayed at. I think if you never actually slept in an Inn (only sleeping outside) it defaults to the Friendly Arms Inn.
Problem is I don't recall seeing this behavior you describe at all of Viconia disappearing without a word, and I only have the original 5-cd version, not the enhanced edition. I was hoping somebody else would reply.

    Thanks for your response!
I had to kill an innocent to get my rep down which solved the problem.

    Not so.

It is still the case in BG1ee (and SoD and BG2ee) that in order to dual-wield, the off-hand weapon must be placed in the shield slot. Otherwise you're fighting sword-and-shield with the main-hand weapon only, and the second weapon in the spare main-hand slot isn't active.

However, yes, the EE quick-slots do allow you to switch to a bow or crossbow (or a two-handed melee weapon) without first having to manually unequip the shield or off-hand weapon - the shield or off-hand weapon is left in its slot but is ignored while the ranged/two-handed weapon is active, as if it were unequipped, which is a considerable convenience-improvement in combat.

Thalantyr in High Hedge will buy the skulls (without needing a sell-anything mod). But yes, only 1 gp each. And it is on the High Hedge map that you usually accumulate a backpack full of skulls, there are loads of (re-spawning) skeletons there, which each drop a skull when destroyed. And it is the sub-quest involving Thalantyr (triggered by collecting Melicamp the chicken) which requires one skull ... but all the rest of the skulls you collect have no use (except selling them for 1 gp).

Yes. The problem with the Brage quest is that when you agree to escort Brage to the temple in Nashkel, you're taken there instantly (as if by a cut-scene, except there's no actual cut-scene played) and the reward of +1 REP happens automatically before you regain manual control, so (if that takes you over 18 REP) there's no opportunity for the usual dissatisfaction dialogue from Evil characters - they just vanish before you regain control. This will apply to any Evil NPC in your party, not just Viconia.
You can solve the problem (as the OP did) by murdering an innocent to lose REP, but more cleanly by disbanding Viconia (or whoever) before the conversation with Brage at the Archaeological Site. She'll just wait there, and you can go back and rejoin her after escorting Brage to Nashkel. Most other Evil characters will also wait where you drop them, but Dorn and Baeloth will automatically go the Friendly Arm Inn (inside for Dorn, outside the walls for Baeloth). Some Evil characters will object to rejoining you now that your REP is over 18, but Viconia is always willing to rejoin (and instantly lowers REP by 2, which then means that other Evil characters will now also rejoin).
