How bad would a massive multiclass party be?

I just found out that the Heart of Fury mode in EE is MUCH easier than in the original game because the enemies don't get the extra -10 to AC, or at least it isn't as extreme.
Therefore you can actually hit them.
So if some of you giving advice were using EE, well, I was playing on the original and my main problem was that I could generally only hit the enemy on a 19 or 20 when fully buffed, except the Paladin who might hit on a 17 by the time I was facing the orcs.

On that subject, can anybody recommend a "Let's Play" video that attempts this with the original game? All the examples I found on YouTube were with Enhanced Edition, and they were hitting on much lower attack rolls than I was.

I always thought that the Heart of Fury mode was a cheap way of the developers to give more difficult encounters simply "patching" all of the enemies with the same thing. In the core rules, massive encounters were great, but only the first three or four times, then, the lack of stronger enemies or more spellcasters (with better spells) makes these encounters a little easy. This changed with the Hearth of Winter and Trials of the Luremaster (stronger foes, like the spiritir polar bear), but I like que original campaign more.

If you don't want to play the original (1.42) in HoF but want a harder game, try my mod, that will be finished this month I think :)

It was supposed to be a cheap way of giving people a challenge for masochists. Also for those who like high-level characters and give them a chance to take their high-level party through the game again and make different choices without it being a cakewalk.
Was it a cheap challenge? Yes, but that was the point.
Anyways, from what I've gathered, they made HoF mode significantly easier by not giving enemies such a massive boost to AC in the EE, but I only have the original and it's just not fun when you can only hit on a critical unless you paralyze the enemy, and at low levels you can't do enough damage before Color Spray or Hold Person wears off, nor can you even hope to affect every enemy this way in the orc cave.
A party that had beat the game however would have a much lower THAC0 and the warriors can probably hit the enemy more often.
