    In keeping up with the current trend and modern security requirements, we are implementing SSL (secure http connection) on Sorcerer's Place as well. I'm sure that you're all familiar with the secure green padlock in front of a site's url in your browser -- on the forums, we have it as well now.

    In practice, you won't notice any difference in your usage of the forums. The only difference now is that the connection from your computer or device to our forums is encrypted, which means that any potentially sensitive data you submit is that much safer.

    SSL has not been implemented on the non-forum pages yet due to technical reasons. If not before, the upgrade to SSL there will be performed once we implement the updated site layout.

    I have put redirects in place (thanks @catbert ) to now force all forum connections to be non-www and https, so that is our new standard.

    You will likely need to log in again on the forums, but aside from that should not experience any issues. In case that you do, please post here or PM me.

    Did you forget to tick the "Stay logged in" box when logging in? If you don't, your login only lasts for a single session.

    Um, there's nothing preventing ad blockers on the forum currently, just the site pages. The SPS login on the site and the login on the forums are different, though. When you log in on the site pages, you only activate your SPS features on the site and ad removal on the forums. When you log in on the forums, you can post, chat and so on on the forums.

    It's a bit confusing, I know. In the new layout @catbert is working on, we'll only have a single login here on the forums, which should eliminate the confusion.
