[IMG] I have met Jaheiras harper friends and I dont' know what to do. As I am evil it's natural to just hack but I don't wan't to loose Jah 'cause she's invaluable for my party. What happens if you kill 'em?
Can you turn Jaheira to the dark side?
    Shadow druid?

If you kill them you can´t solve Jaheira´s quest and she will not meet Elminster in the end (though I never got that far). Talk yourself out of a fight, that should work fine.
You´re playing evil, so it shouldn´t cause you too many problems to kill them, but anyway, I think talking is gold here.

[IMG] Being evil doesn't mean you have to castrate yourself!!
Do whats good for you first, then think about whats bad for others. ;) ;)
Only if your a fallen palladin you might, as a roleplayer, do evil to yourself first. A messed up character doesn't go straight just by turning evil! :D

[IMG] Well I tried to talk but it didn't matter.
I was evil and that meant I had to be killed.
Ah well on the bright side I got a good fight.

I got that too - It's very annoying because Jaheria was with them and I had to kill her too. Maybe if you really want to avoid the fight you could get your rep up before you talk to them - no roleplay objections - it's just fooling the self-righteous do-gooders for a while.

[IMG] Øh bø? I play a neutral-evil dc fighter-cleric, and nobody wanted to kill me when I did the "find montarion" quest. When Jaheira and I were summoned to the Harper hold, she sided with me. This actually appears to be part of the romance thingy, as when I played with a female kensai, none of this happened.

I had a reputation of 17 when I met those guys and I am Chaotic good, but there was no talking out of the fight!
    (Possible spoiler from here on)

I killed the whole bunch, then another party (pretty tough guys and gals), then got a warning of this friend of Jaheira and then had to kill him and his party.
I was never able to talk myself out of it, but Jaheira stayed at my side and we are still together, with no bothering of her (well, at least not about this quest :D), no reputation loss and certainly no killing of friends like Jaheira...!

I just went through that encounter & tried a couple variations. The key seems to be. . . don't let J tell her Harper friends that you are Bhaalspawn. If you tell her to not keep secrets-you fight. If you tell her you prefer to keep your past secret but trust her judgment-no fight. BTW this is after the fight in the Harper Hold, when the next group comes hunting.
