    Here's one for busy fathers.

Odd question perhaps, but English is rather inconsistent in it's pronunciation: How do I pronounce "Chapin"? TYEP-in? TJAY-pin? sha-PÈIN (French)?

CHAY-pin, I think. c-h sound like in cheek, not s-h like in poop.

That's a song that always makes me cry.

As for pronunciation, I have no idea what your funky "words" sound like so I cannot help you there. It's Chay-pin, where the CH is the same an in chair and the AY sounds like you are saying A (like the letter).

Yeah, it made me cry as well. Still a great song. I stumbled upon it again a week ago. It had been 10 years, that day, since my father died. I should make clear, btw, that my dad wasn't too busy, due to medical issues. I guess I was just reminded that there will be some things (both good and bad) that I'd never be able to share with him.

Here's another one that usually gets me all sentimental. My dad wanted to take a trip with me to Firenze/Florence, Italy, but it never came to that. As I see it, he's in an other "Big City" now.

Sorry. Needed a to senti-vent for a moment.

Thanks for clearing up the Chapin Pronunciation Mystery. :)

I'm sorry that you dad was gone much too soon. John managed to say, and very well too, what all of us dads feel and would like to say to our sons. And I'm certain your dad felt just the same.

A couple from a band called "7 seconds of love" - it's mostly nonsensical, but, strangly good.

"Love me like you used to"

"the first drink of the day"

    "Ninja"

The band recieved a settlement from Coca Cola from this one after very similar animation appeared in a coke advert.

    "Soupy George"

    "Danger of death"

    "Monkey cup"

They're nice. I'm still introducing people to those blind Africans. You can hear Manu Chao worked on that album, too. Haven't listened to their later albums, though.

    Edit:
I like the start of that album, too

Walter Trout -- Blues For The Modern Daze

Bob Dylan -- Thunder On The Mountain

    ---------- Added 23 hours, 15 minutes and 0 seconds later... ----------

Girls With Guitars. What could be better than that?

Ana Popovic --- Where do Serbian chicks learn the blues like that?

Samanth Fish Band -- Runaway. This is a pretty long jam, but Samanth is worth every second of it.....

BTW, Sam is the front girl for the actual band Girls With Guitars.....

Joanne Shaw Taylor -- White Sugar. Watch out now!!!

Here's a new collaboration the great former Sabbath singer Tony Martin did with an Italian group called Giuntini.

Haaa! I have been whistling this song (0:19 to 1:24) for over a week and now I *finally* found the name. Boy, that was frustrating!
