    Well, the difference is that I would want to use Win 8 and I'll be using it day in, day out. With MUG it would just be to satisfy my curiosity in a small part of a declining community :p

    Don't get me wrong, I like the community here (even you have to admit it's shrinking), and I like coming here, but I don't feel like I miss anything by not being part of the MUG. And the disclaimer isn't all bad, it's just the subjecting yourself to Californian law part. Since I'm Dutch and I'm visiting this place from The Netherlands, shouldn't my actions comply with Dutch law? But I guess that's a discussion for in the Alleys some time :D

    I've mostly been a bystander here for 11 years and I think I'm doing just fine ;)

    lol Mesmero, if you don't want to join the MUG thats cool.

    I would say that the BOM seemed pretty dead for a while when I first joined but then it picked up again later. It seems to go in waves. The important thing is that everyone does their part. If people wait for someone else to light a fire under their @ss then of course its going to get quiet.

    Yay me. Failed the phone pre-interview ! See I've a bad credit because I'm unemployed but I can't get a job because I have a bad credit rating. The symmetry is beautiful. So I don't even get to do the interview. I mean I only have experience in the field, live near the place and am perfectly bilingual (it's a thing here). Clearly I'm the wrong choice.

    Denying someone an interview based on their credit score seems like such BS. Maybe if it were a position where you could theoretically syphon off lots of money to your personal account, but still.

    Seems very un-Canadian to me!

    Well it was for a position in a bank apparently you have to have a good credit rating for that. Still seems stupid but meh.

    Mesmero, the disclaimer is a formality to cover my ass in case someone joining saw something there that they'd be so mortally offended by that they'd decide to sue me for damages. That's the only reason why it's there. Just in case it wasn't dead obvious...
