I'm in Durlag tower and some of my opponents(Avarice, Ashikurkur or smth like that) go invisible in 2s then become visible and strike and instantly become invisible again. Is it some glitch form mods I installed or is it supposed to be that way?

IIRC it's always like that. I'm sure that they always appear visible and immediately turn invisible. Not sure whether they repeat the trick, but I think yes.

well in my case they appear invis, attack(go vis) and after like 2s they are invis again
pretty frustrating since my spells work once and then I can't target them again unless they strike me first and then have like 2s to hit them at all :S

just wondering since i don't remember my last play through :p and thieving skills or drinking potions requires time for ME to go invis, they do it "at will"

It helps to have your characters hasted, they get in more hits before Avarice turns invisible again. And make sure the fighters quaf potions of giant strength, so that if a hit strikes, it does more damage.

My own tactic is to use Greater Malison to lower the saving throws of the enemies you want to hamper, than cast Hold Person. I think it can be targeted at an area instead of an invidual. Spells that target area's (a point on the ground near Avarice), can get hold on him. If you manage to get him Held, it's easier to win the battle. But often it doesn't work.

Another tactic is immediately pause when he turns visible, select your mages and cast Melf's Acid Arrow on him, as it will continue to damage him even after he get's invisible again.

And before battle, have your mages cast Stoneskin and Mirror Image on them, so his attack will only take away one skin or image instead of doing damage to your vulnerable mages.
