It had to happen! The belief that information can be freely shared has now become an officially recognized religion. :pope:

It should be interesting to see how the Swedish authorities will protect the rights of a faith while still maintaining that the faith's primary activity - net piracy - is illegal.

I'd like to see how members "pray and conduct services". Do they wear an eyepatch? ;)

What's next? The Prostitutes of the world forming their own local 919s. Unionized Strippers, that would be entertaining. Maybe we can get more streamlined pricing. It would be nice to know how much the threesome is going to cost ahead of time. I just hate bartering when the bachelor party has already started. By then it's too late and they got you by the balls....;)

Indeed. I looked it up, and they are part of ver.di, the biggest trade union after the IG Metall (Industrial Union of metal workers) here in Germany. They fall under FB 13 "Special Services", sub-group TFW ("Tourism, Freetime and Wellbeing"), which consists of:

    - Tourist industry, travel offices, and travel agencies
    - Hair stylists and Cosmeticsalons
    - Rental Car companies
    - Funeral system
    - Botanical Gardens, Zoos, Natural Parks, Baths, etc.
    - Prostitutes

I am not really surprised about this. I am more surprised that Funeral services fall under "Tourism, Freetime and Wellbeing", though I guess making sure that dead people are taken care of properly can be put under "Wellbeing".
