Chain Lightning is supposed to hit as many secondary targets as I have levels. I'm only hitting on secondary target with a level 12 sorcerer. Is this a bug or did the game designers not make the spells properly?

I know, another spell that doesnt work right :/

I dont know about the PnP version, so either the description's wrong or just a bug.

It's not the only spell, though i dont recall which others i've noticed dont work right.

Magic circle against evil + planar binding + hostile charm on you -->even though you are protected by evil, your elemental attacks you after enemy has charmed you.

With the patch, improved invis still bugs with 2 chars. Both have ii on, the fighter can beat everyone without anyone noticing, but as soon as the sorcerer makes his presence known, the enemy "sees" them both.

Sometimes you'll hit more targets. I think it depends on how many Hp the primary target has. If it's high, it will "suck up" lots of the spell's damage potential. If it's low, the lightning will hit more targets until it's done its max damage.

So the description is wrong, but the spell is still pretty useful.
