Well, I waded through the dungeon again to start a new game, however, along the way Jaheira died on me. Well, since I was going to do another evil party I didn't really care but still kept her 'greyed' image around. After a while playing, my cleric levelled so that he could finally cast raise dead so I decided to raise her. Then after a while, when I got more characters, I let her go...

    Now the interesting bit...

I finally got around to giving that sick dude back to the harpers, but as I was approaching Harper HQ, all of a sudden Jaheira, who was standing there, started to talk to me with one of her standard during-the-game conversations. I just thought it was weird because she wasn't in my party.

Secondly, after doing that I was approached by Xzar (one of my favorite NPCs from BG1) who started talking to me. anyway, did anyone else think that his conversation sounded a tiny bit like something Mr. Burns would say?
Quotes such as "You there, unwashed one" really sounded to me like something Burns would say in the forgotten Realms.

    Anyways, bye-byesies

The thing about Xzar isn't anything unusual. He always talks to you after you deliver the poisoned dude.
About the Jaheirra thing - that is wierd. Did she come to you to speak or you were near her? What did she say - which dialog exactly??

That Jaheira thing happened to me a couple of times. It's supposed to happen. She goes on about how we should continue the journey, blah blah. It only happens when she's not in your party though.

Hmm, that's never happened to me. I didn't even see her at the harper compound when I returned the poisened guy.

Cernd is much better than her, anyway, in my opinion.

There seems to be an out-break of this at the moment. Maybe it is a bug, but it doesn't seem to do any harm and is similar to other characters talking to you to move the plot along. Strange that there should such similar postings so close together though. Time to start a conspiracy theory - did you know Bioware put a date dependant Jaheira event into the game and this conversation only happens if you are playing on a ceratin date. :D Everyone has to keep playing all the time to see when the next 'event' happens.

is Bioware bored? maybe they could actually get us to be more interested in exploring the game if they had secret quests that requires extra searching and role playing

Opps, see how easily it is done. When I said:

"Time to start a conspiracy theory - did you know Bioware put a date dependant Jaheira event into the game and this conversation only happens if you are playing on a ceratin date. :D Everyone has to keep playing all the time to see when the next 'event' happens."

I was joking (warped sense of humour) the 'time to start a conspiracy' should have been the very big clue to everyone. So please ignore the idea expressed in my previous post, Bioware are not getting bored or anything, it's just Slappy silliness.
