Based on what i know about the concentration skill it seems with an effective level of 23 i should be able to cast spells without any chance of interuption. in practice this is not the case but it might be due to a critical fail roll of 1.

is there any benefit to leveling this skill past 23?
the formula: d20 + concentration skill + constitution modifier vs. 15+ spell level

the same question for spellcraft which also needs an effective skill level of 23.

i know for rogue skills there is a skill check of 17 at most.

That's only one part of what you use Concentration for. Taking damage causes a check that has the incoming damage amount as a modifier in some way. That's why a weak hit with only a few points of damage is seldom enough to interrupt anyone, while a decent crit or any massive damage spell will almost always interrupt. Hence, no real upper limit.

Curious about spellcraft, though. Is that also skill check of 15+spell level? (The formula is not in the manual nor anywhere else that I know of yet.) That'd make the max 24 for 9th level spells.

There has to be a different check against incoming damage as well. 15+spell power level is only the check if you are allowed to cast this spell.
My current decoy just got interrupted while casting tensers' and her concentration skill is 25 (lucky crit and mirror image just went away ^.^)

According d&d rules the concentration check is against 10+damage dealt - dunno if it's implemented that way but would make just sense.
