[IMG] I`m playing with a paladin kit, the undead hunter. Is there more paladin quests after beating Firkraag the red dragon? Does a fighter get the Radiant Heart quests and can I get a "sir" title?

Beating FIrkragg is the last paladin quest. And no, you can't get a 'Sir' Title. Use SHadowkeeper to change your PC's name. I don't think that's cheating.

Thanks now I can sleep in peace, even if my dreams are broken. But does a fighter get the paladin quests?

No a fighter does not get the Paladin quests. A fighter gets all the quests related to De'Arnise Hold and those after saving it for the princess known as Nalia!

    What a sweetheart she is.

[IMG] Argh, I knew I did something wrong. I killed Firkraag before doing any of the other paladin quests, so I never actually got a quest to kill him. I wonder if I missed out on something. Probably just some XP.

Syl, don't soil her pure soul with your irony!Nalia is a good (somewhat misunderstood) girl.

[IMG] Thaumas, I`m afraid that you did miss something. Not only 50000 exp but an excellent armour, pride of the legion. This is a full plate mail with -1 armour bonus class. Tsk Tsk

[IMG] I did get Pride of the Legion, but after the bodyguard/uncle/assassin quest, which was my last, IIRC. Oh well, it's not like I really needed those 50K XP...

Nalia is almost useless as a thief and poor as a wizard and she has probably the worst texts/ sounds after silly Anomen. She can´t even hide in shadows properly until she had two potions of master thievery.

Not really. Imoen is a much better thief than Nalia.

What really puzzles me, is that after Yoshimo, there are no sole theifs or theif kits. ALL the other theifs are theif/mages. In a city practically run by the shadow theifs, wouldn't you expect a few more pure class theifs? BTW In my opinion, Jan is the best theif character in the game - taking into account both skills and dialogue.

Agreed. If I didn't have a preference to bows, I'd take Jan. I actually had him in the party for a while, but for some reason I just NEED to have someone with a bow.
It's been the same since BG1 so it's kinda traditional for me. :D

[IMG] I think they really wanted you to take Yoshimo - you know why! That's why he stood out thief wise. Beware of Bioware bearing gifts.

Considering pure thieves are pretty much useless, there are o lot of them around.

    Concerning Nalia:
Considering her background, why would she steal, or for that matter hide. She's good enough at detecting traps, which is in character for her (secretly wandering around in dungeons). So for paladins, who don't want to step into every trap on the road, but hesitate to go with a real thief she's perfect. Paladins would not put too much weight on backstabbing and pickpocketing or opening of locks.
    And don't forget she's a good mage.
As I posted elsewhere the swachbuckler kit would have been perfect for her.

No. Imoen isn't a thief, at least for my personal tastes. Both Imoen nor Nalia can't hide in a pitch black box for that matter, which is one of my favorite uses of having a thief. Being able to hide in the shadows and scout without the use of an invisibility spell. Both Imoen and Nalia stink for that.

Now we can get into a discussion about their other skills, but I don't use them either. A backstab takes too long to get ready for and by then, Grub's already six or seven swings into dealing damage. Removing traps, sure it's great to get experience, but it's much quicker to set them off. Grub enjoys it and rarely takes any serious damage. Opening locks. Sure, maybe it's nice to do that too but it's not needed when you have Knock. I don't use many 2nd level spells except for A. Scorcher and Knock so it evens out nicely.

I guess that's why I ditched Nalia in the end when I was playing the game and had no thieves in my party.

Imoen might be better than Nalia, but she's still useless in the party I had created. Plus, she was just too wacked by the time I saved her.

She has some serious issues to work out.

Heh, if you bothered to play the game through and had her in your party for a while you'd be whistling a different tune. I had her with me since spellhold and she's very useful. Give her the two cool thief rings, gloves of pickpocketing and the shadow dragon scale and she kicks ass. Specialize her in long swords later, and she can use Daystar, plus a lot of other cool and powerful weapons, if need be. Otherwise she can hang at the back and shoot arrows.

She's not as bad as she looks initially. (Heck, even I had my doubts about her then). But then again, you wouldn't know...

Calling Nalia poor as a wizard is silly. "Not perfect" with her 17 INT, OK, but not "poor". Her stats are good. 18 DEX is perfect (for a human) and wizards don't need more than 16 CON. 14 STR means that she can carry, well, a bit more than Imoen. Annoying dialogue, yes, poor wizard, certainly not. With some of the overpowered items in this game, she was the star of my first game, besides my own character of course :). Then again, I didn't feel like using her again in my other games...

I never found out about Imoen because I never wanted to take her. She didn't fit in my party and all Grub wanted to do was return the favour. Which he did.

[IMG] Didn't take Imoen Syl??? What Mge did you keep?? Nalia? Besides that dork of a red wizard of Thy, Imoen is the best mage in the game! Unless ofcourse you yourself are a mage!
