So after not playing BG2 for years and having never played BG1, I just got them both from GOG and plan on going through the whole series. I wanted to try using BGTutu and wanted some good mods to go with that were compatible. I seem to remember a pretty big BG2 mod that had mixed reviews but I can't remember the name of it for the life of me. Any suggestions?

Are you thinking of Saerileth? Never tried it myself. Many of SP's members think she's a Mary Sue but others thought well of the mod.

Is the big mod you are referring to an NPC mod or other type of game-changing mod?

[IMG] Ascension? The Longer Road? Big Picture?

Some are mega mods, BP is a means of mega modding (iirc, I've never really played with that sort of thing)

It was a big game changing mod for BG2 but none of those names sound familiar. I really can't remember, it's been forever. Any other suggestions though?

There are many mods here. SCS and SCSII I would recommend. Also any Unfinished Business mod, BG1 NPC project, Rogue Rebalancing. I wasn't a fan of Tactics, but many are. I like to use as many NPC mods as I can. There are so many for SoA/ToB that allow replay many times over. The Saerilith mod was annoying to me, the voicing was off. Kelsey and Keto were excellent mods. Callisto(Evil Elven Fighter Babe!) was a nice addition to my evil party. I also liked the Dwarven Priest of Lathander, Biddelorak(spelling?).

For something different, I would recommend playing Classic Adventures, you can catch it at SHS, ClassicAdventures. It is not finished yet, but since it is an accumalation of actual D&D modules redone in the Infinity Engine, it is really nice. It's a whole new game with a new cast of NPCs, starting at level 1. Excellent fun for a life-long D&D player.

Most of the NPC mods are BG2 mods. There are only a few NPC mods for BG1. Gavin, Finch, Indira, Murneth,Jonathan... I think that is it. Some of the Add-on mods for BG1 are not compatible with Tutu, but are with BGT. You have to read the readme files for each mod that you are interested in. Install order counts as well. Readthis. Darkside of the Sword Coast, Northern Tales of the Sword Coast, etc.. add alot of content to BG1. There is a ton of stuff out there.
