Rob and I don't watch a huge amount of TV but when we do and the ads come on he grabs the remote and flicks through all the channels. It means that we generally miss the start of the second part of whatever we were watching!

    So, are you a flicker?

I flick every chance I get. I hate watching commercials, and thanks to technology, I don't have to!

Most everything I watch is now recorded on my DVR, so I FF through commercials. No need to flick.

I very rarely watch tv. On the rare occasion I watch tv I am usually drinking so I use commercial breaks to releave myself (or refill).

It's been years since I last watched TV... unless if it was showing in the cafeteria whenever I dine there. I'm just a movie person, don't care much about TV unless it's some big news.

I record everything on MySky so I can always fast forward through ad breaks. No flicking required.

The only thing I watch on telly is sports. Otherwise I catch it on SkyPlayer or BBC iPlayer or something.

I usually turn off the TV during a commercial break, or I go make coffee/tea, or I go relieve myself.

If only the commercials were interesting or diverse. But when you've heard the same salesman spew the same blatant nonsense about a useless product three or four times in as many commercial breaks, you've basically seen them all.

I usually record programs and FF the commercials (if there are any). If not, then I'm a flicker. Too bad many channels tend to have commercial breaks at the same time.

I don't own a TV set and I don't watch TV on my computer. Actually I only watch it when I'm with my family or my friends and I've found out that I can't stand ads so I grab the remote and hit the mute button. Whenever I change channels I'm appalled by the mind numbing idiocy of television programs... At least in the UK you've got the BBC, over here French channels are just appallingly drab.

The one thing I like is watching old well known shows in languages I don't speak (or speak badly). There's nothing like watching Starsky & Hutch or Derrick in Italian.

I'm only watching the news on the intertubes, live feed and all that good stuff. So no. Besides I'm busy studying, reading and learning stuff.

    I haven't flicked for ages since I don't have a telly anymore.

Any other sort of flicking is negotiable.

I don't watch a lot of TV anymore. When I do, I usually either stay on the channel or flick a bit and come back once in a while to see if my show has started.

I remember my parents' TV when I was living there. You could have a little screen in the corner where you could see the channel you were watching while you flicker. So if the show started, you pressed a button and you're back to it. Probably been invented by an exasperated woman. :)

DVR whenever I can help it, so commercials last no more than 20 seconds. Like Tal, PiP when I can't, so I know when to go back to the original show. Sometimes, I might use commercial time to browse websites on my laptop, if I'm not particularly interested in the show, and just passing the time. But I NEVER just sit and stare at commercials.

No and no. It drives me nuts when someone starts "channel surfing".
Not that I watch much TV anyways.
