Faded Cloak (Noober's Cloak)

I found a cloak in the farm in nashkel, called Faded Cloak or Noober's Cloak or something like that. I got it identified and it said that it fades the wearer to 75%. However, it doesn't seem to have any effect other that to look nice and enemies see me just as easy as if i wasn't wearing it.

Anyone know if there are any real bonuses of wearing this cloak (maybe bonus against missle weapons or something) as there isn't anything in the description. Also, i'm thinking this maybe new item in DSotSC as i just recently installed it and don't remember it from other times i've played.

I never found that cloak and i played BG+TotSC many times, so it's probably a DSotSC item.

 

I've never heard of such a cloak either and I've played alot of BG myself. Perhaps it works like cloak of displacment.

The Cloak of Displacement is a magical item that causes subtle shifts in the image of its wearer. It has the power to actually shift an individual's image by as much as six inches in any direction from their actual location. Aside from being an effective defense in combat situations, it has also been the cause of serious eyestrain amongst fellow party members.

Ok it is from BG2 but I just set it as an example so please don't acuse me sending in the wrong forum.

What I meant by this cloak is that it perhaps gives you additional AC against missiles or some other weapons.

 

Cloak of Displacement is also in BG1 too I think.

That cloak was an add on from the DSotSC mod! It was meant as a joke, it does nothing for you. But it is worth money

If I remember correctly, the faded cloak is a DSotSC item. I gave it to Imoen to wear, and about all it did was "fade" her from view on the screen. The cloak did not seem to give her any combat benefits.

yeah, i checked out the coords of where i found it. It is in the same place as you find the Angkeg plate in the farm in naskel. Dammit, i actually really needed that armour, not some stoopid cloak.
What is the point of making an expansion that takes stuff away from the game??

 

At least they didn't take the ring of protection and the ring of wizardry out All the new stuff that is added, more than makes up for that missing plate
