Erm, I really don't know if I'm in the right sub-forum, so please forgive me, if I am not.

As the title might suggest, I am looking for a computer game, yet I don't know if it exists or not. It's a kind of game I always wanted to play, but never found it. Here is its description:

I am looking for a open ended fantasy roleplaying game, a kind of sand-box game, if that is the right term. Something similar to what the Morrowind/Oblivion games are. Only problem with them is the hardware requirements and I dislike the game world, I'd rather have something more classic. So games where you have a big open world without boundaries and/or closed of areas (like in BG games), where you can wander along, explore, hang around, kill some monsters, do some quests perhaps. Most mmorpg games are like that, but I found none of them pleasing. I played Tibia for a bit and it actually is quite close to what I am looking for, but I didn't like it's graphics, game controls, class system and other annoyances. Most of the others were too demanding on the hardware or were just plain bad.
Remember, my computer is very old, so brand new, hardware demanding monsters are out. Infinity engine graphics would be perfect, actually.

So if anyone knows a game that fits these descriptions, please tell me. Thank you in advance.

[IMG] Wizardry 8. Lots of classes, races, skills, fun magic system, everything I like in a rpg. The story line leaves a lot of room for you to wander and explore. I had tones of fun with it. Currently replaying a party right now. Ex.

Try The Witcher. I don't think that's too systems hungry, and it's quite open ended.

Any Ultima game prior to 8. Especially 4,5,6 or 7.

The Witcher is a fair bit more power hungry than Morrowind.

Ultima Ascension was exactly like this but it was far too resource hungry when it was released back in the nineties and would suspect that you still need a current computer today to attempt to run it.

The most open-ended RPG that offers the most freedom that I have played is Arcanum: Steamworks of Might and Magic. It's not very resource heavy but also is not a first person or third person 3D game. It's more of a sprite-type game that you would play on the Genesis or SNES back in the day.
