    New release Grateful Dead Road Trips - Vol.3 #3 - This time it's The Fillmore East, 1970 (Bonus disc, Kirkwood, MO). **** 4 stars out of 5.

    A bit too much "noodling," even for the Dead, particularly, Pigpen, Ron McKernan -- A nearly 30 minute "Turn On Your Lovelight!" Still a very good live concert. Jerry is right on it, especially on the blistering bonus tracks recorded at Meramec College.

    CCR - Bayou Country (2008 Remaster). ***** 5 out of 5 stars.

    Remaster reveals plenty of vintage '60s sound. Also, the remaster has some nicely done, additional live tracks: "Proud Mary," "BotB" and "Crazy Otto," recorded at the Fillmore West. Nice package and great recordings, IMHO. :)

    Still actually. Great album. Best is to listen to the two takes of 'Dirty Boots' one after another. Guitars are great especially in the second (live) take. I got to see that band one day.
