How do I use cheats to add skill points?

    I'm playing NWN 1, and it does not have an actual Drow subrace (just elf but named Drow, and give cosmetic appearance). So I rolled up my character as an elf, and then set the ability scores to what they would be if there actually was a drow (i.e. +2 Dex, +2 Int, +2 Cha, -2 Con). However, if you put your score of 18 into Int at creation, you don't get the benefit of the extra 4 skill points provided by having a 1st level character with a 20 Int. So I was hoping I could use the cheats to bump skills to account for those extra 4 points I would have had if I could create the character with a 20 Int. The problem is, I can't seem to find the right script by tabbing through the list in the console. IS there such a script, and if so does anyone know what it is? Thanks!

    There is no such skript.

    My off topic answer: If you want to simply redistribute your skill points for a character in game so you won't have to start anew, then that's fairly easy to accomplish using the console: Reset your level to 1, then add the levels you lost and level up again, correcting the mistakes you made skilling. It's one of my antidotes for the pernicious chronic restarter syndrome.

    If that's not enough, for instance when you want to change your appearance without having to (preposterously) invest precious skill points into appearance crafting just for looks, well, here's how it goes: Increase your INT score to 50 or so, reset your level to 1, then add the levels you lost, say 15, and distribute the skill points, say on craft armour or craft weapon. Then reset INT to what it has been before. That's not cheating but correcting an annoying flaw in the game as far as I am concerned.

    This should work for your ... problem as well.

    That might work, actually. If I do:

    ModINT=8

    then wait until I hit level 2, I'll gain 4 skill points more than I would have without the ModINT. I can then spend those points as I would have at creation, and after I'm finished leveling, I can set my Int back to 20, where it would be for a genuine drow. Great idea, thanks!

    p.s. By the way, that's an interesting quote you have at the end of your post there. I'm a little curious about it.

    'Dr. Strangelove, Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb' is an inspiring movie.

    Off topic, but for this I'd recommend Kamiryn's Customize Character Override Hak. Can't play NWN without it.
