I am new to the forum so I dont know if this has ever been brought up, but I am curious. Ever wonder why Tazok wont recognize the protagonist? He signs his/ her death warrent if I am not mistaken and is one of Saravoks underlings ( a close one at that) yet when you enter the bandit camp he dont know you from Fred. I find it a little strange myself. Maybe it was a oversight on the desingers part who knows? Any thoughts ?

Molahey from the Nashkell Mines, Rieltar and many other NPCs do not recognize you at first in addition to Tazok. I don't believe this is a game flaw, but rather intentionally done to give the option of being an infiltrator. After all, the only thing they had to go on during that time period in the Sword Coast were vague descriptions and perhaps a sketch. Since you had never encountered Tazok before that point, he wouldn't recognize you.

Also, you're traveling abroad at that point and seeking your death was no longer as easy as "Kill that one kid who lives in Candlekeep."
