I've never played ToEE, even though I've owned it for a long time.
Probably because it never works for me.
But now I'd like to finally resolve that issue if I can.

When I first installed it and tried to run it, I would get a black screen, then get dumped back to the desktop.
Then I tried installing patch 3. Same thing.
Reinstalled, ran patch 1 and 2 and now I get the splash screens before it goes back to the desktop.
Installed the unofficial game patch and get the same thing.

    I'm on windowsXP.

What do I need to do to get this game to work? Everyone i've spoken with in the past said this was a good game, so I'd really like to be able to play it :)

    Thanks

I'm in the same boat as you a buddy. At work a buddy of mine told me that it may be the graphics card that I have. That may be the same reason for you to. I added a thread about this problem but asking specifically what graphics card to download? Check it out if you have found any good solutions and let me know pf any replys you get just in case you get them 1st.

I don't know if it's the graphics card but I have never been able to run the game, so it's failed on at least 2-3 of my computers. I just put it back on the shelf and I guess I'll never get to play a supposedly great game.

    peace
