Having no proper manual for the game and unable to find information on this topic elsewhere...

How exactly does one use the bard's songs? I assume you simply click the harp icon and do nothing else, much like the cleric's turn undead ability. Also, the first song, "Song of the Three Heroes" I believe it's called, what exactly does it do? Do you acquire more songs later in the game? What do they do?

Thanks in advance... never picked a bard before and playing through the game a second time.

You can find the manual on SP and several good character generation guides (which detail the songs).

The Songs are improved if you also install HoW. The first song grants +1 to hit, damage and saves. At higher levels the bard song regenerates -- allowing the bard to heal better than a cleric.

Yes, you acquire more songs as you gain levels, dear friend if you get HOW...

You sing them by clicking the song icon "on," it's an on/off toggle...

Your bard will stop singing the moment you attack or try to cast a new spell...so it may make sense for you to invest in protective spells for your bard to buff up before battles, then wander in singing continuously while protected...

They are marvelous companions with HOW, dear friend...marvelous! Definitely worth taking up through some levels!
